Guitar and Bass Lessons

Our staff of experienced instructors strive to give students a thorough understanding of their instrument, as well as teaching them to play music that they enjoy as quickly as possible.

Our lessons follow a basic outline, but are personalized to each individual’s musical taste and ability. Most importantly, we believe that playing an instrument should be fun. When playing becomes fun, learning also becomes fun.

Here is a summary of our policies regarding private lessons:

The current rate for lessons is $17.00 per half hour lesson.
Please pay your instructor directly.
We ask that students pay in advance for four lessons at a time. Payment is due on or before the day of the first lesson, then due on or before the 5th lesson, 9th lesson, etc.
We ask for at least 24 hour notice if you need to miss a lesson.
The student will provide his/her own transportation to and from Capitol Guitars for lessons.
If the student is late for a lesson, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time (out of fairness to the next student).

Repair & Setup

We understand that if your instrument is broken, then you're out of business. We also know that a poorly set up instrument is no fun to play.

We provide a full suite of repair services for guitars, basses, and amps that will help you perform at your peak. As authorized dealers for a number of lines, we are equipped to handle warranty repairs.

We can also handle repairs and adjustments for instruments that are older and may be out of warranty or were not purchased at Capital Guitars.

Our repair services include:

Basic set-up and adjustment
String, nut, and bridge replacement
Electronics troubleshooting
Pickup upgrades and installation
Advanced and/or complex repairs
Amplifier repair and servicing
